2018 Chevrolet Cruze 4 DR FWD Safety Features

Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2018 Chevrolet Cruze 4 DR FWD

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. By continuously monitoring various factors such as steering angle, vehicle speed, and individual wheel speeds, ESC can detect and reduce the risk of skidding or loss of control. It achieves this by automatically applying brakes to specific wheels to stabilize the vehicle.

Standard
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

Optional
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Utilizing cameras or sensors to monitor lane markings on the road, LDW detects when the vehicle crosses these lines and triggers visual, auditory, or haptic alerts to notify the driver of potential lane departure.

"i was driving the car and the clutch was not engaging, went to the dealer and was advised to change the cylinder kit (gm part 24295457) and the pressure plate (gm part 55574768) and get charge almost 5k for the repair. the car has 50500 miles and has almost 3 years, the warranty is 5 years or 60000 miles, which i was in it. after i paid for the check up the dealer told me that is not part of the warranty. i did my research with my mechanic and said the cylinder kit was a manufacturer defect, and also was a recall on europe with this type of car due to the type of the transmission (stick shift). contact to gm headquarters and make a complaint, the answers from them as they contact the dealer and due to the car has an accident that was not reported they can not do anything with the repair. the accident was 2 years ago and the damage is only the body and does not involve the engine, powertrain, or even the frame of the car. in the resolution, they blame the accident for do not take a look or responsibility of their product."
