2013 Chevrolet Impala 4 DR FWD Safety Features

Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2013 Chevrolet Impala 4 DR FWD

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. By continuously monitoring various factors such as steering angle, vehicle speed, and individual wheel speeds, ESC can detect and reduce the risk of skidding or loss of control. It achieves this by automatically applying brakes to specific wheels to stabilize the vehicle.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

No
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Complaint:
"in 2016 i was driving to work when the check engine light, traction control light, abs light, service stabilitrack light and service brake assist light came on all at the same time. i took it to chevy dealer and they claimed my car was misfiring, along with the left wheel hub, and a tune up. long story short, in three months i spent about $3000 on something that is continuing to happen. but the difference is now it feels like my brakes slip when the lights come on. and they come on and off and on and off..i could just have turned the car on and the lights are dinging. i tried to see if general motors will help me, and of course they cannot do anything. as i read through all of these complaints, it makes me feel less crazy since every time i take it to a shop the diagnostic machine doesn't pick up any codes. this needs to be a recall before someone gets hurt. and general motors needs to do better in making their consumers happier with their products."
