2019 Chevrolet Trax SUV FWD Safety Features

Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2019 Chevrolet Trax SUV FWD

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. By continuously monitoring various factors such as steering angle, vehicle speed, and individual wheel speeds, ESC can detect and reduce the risk of skidding or loss of control. It achieves this by automatically applying brakes to specific wheels to stabilize the vehicle.

Standard
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

Optional
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Utilizing cameras or sensors to monitor lane markings on the road, LDW detects when the vehicle crosses these lines and triggers visual, auditory, or haptic alerts to notify the driver of potential lane departure.

Complaint:
"we purchased the vehicle june 1, 2021. we started hearing a popping noise when being driven. sometimes it was often and sometimes every now and then. the trax is in the shop as of now. we were told there was a crack in the frame. they said they would weld the area, but it would take time. car had to be taken apart piece by piece. i asked them what would cause the problem. i was told it was when the car was turned sharply. i have talked to several people and i was told that did not sound right. a sharp turn should not make the frame crack. i wanted the frame changed. they said they would weld it and it supposedly be good as new. i do not feel comfortable driving a vehicle with a welded frame. i think it is a safety risk for me or anyone else to drive it. this our only car we have. they weren't even going to give me a loaner car to use until i made some calls and finally got one. they car is a 2019 and has less than 20,000 miles on it. i don't think this problem should have happened on a car this new."
