"my complaint is not due to a specific incident but that this recall is not being answered to in a timely manner. the ford motor company has now had 5 months to come up with a solution for this recall why tens of thousands of drivers are being put at risk because of their complacency. additionally, this vehicle provides income for my family as up to the point of the recall, we're using it through the rental service "turo" which has now restricted our vehicle and will not allow it to be rented. this has caused additional undue financial hardship on our family as we had a projected income for the summer that was ruined due to ford's lack of care for producing a repair for this recall in a timely manner."

Consequence:
An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants resulting in serious injury or death.
Remedy:

Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. Ford mailed interim letters informing owners that parts are not yet available on July 15, 2016. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 19S01.

Consequence:
