Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 PU/RC 4WD

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. By continuously monitoring various factors such as steering angle, vehicle speed, and individual wheel speeds, ESC can detect and reduce the risk of skidding or loss of control. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

Optional

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Complaint:
"low coolant warning light came on. i was towing a travel trailer on a very busy roadway with no place to pull off while pulling a trailer. i had to pull over to the shoulder to check the coolant level and make sure i didn’t cause major damage to my engine by letting it overheat. while waiting to let the engine cool down, i researched and found that this is a very common issue with l5p duramax engines in gm trucks and it is specifically related to a faulty coolant level sensor. as it turns out, my coolant level was fine and there was no issue. the danger posed by me pulling over and waiting for well over an hour on the side of the busy backroad with my son in the truck was not a necessary one. it appears that this is a well known issue that is not being addressed by gm."
