2016 Lexus NX300H SUV AWD Safety Features

Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2016 Lexus NX300H SUV AWD

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. By continuously monitoring various factors such as steering angle, vehicle speed, and individual wheel speeds, ESC can detect and reduce the risk of skidding or loss of control. It achieves this by automatically applying brakes to specific wheels to stabilize the vehicle.

Standard
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

Optional
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Utilizing cameras or sensors to monitor lane markings on the road, LDW detects when the vehicle crosses these lines and triggers visual, auditory, or haptic alerts to notify the driver of potential lane departure.

Complaint:
"while driving down the interstate 75 at 70 mph the car completely lost engine power and the whole dashboard lit up. it would not respond to acceleration. i had to pull the car over to the side of the road. i re-started the car and it started back up and worked normally. the following day while on i-75 the car experienced reduced power this time. the car would not accelerate above 20 mph . we got off at the next exit. we spent about 10 minutes searching for the closest lexus dealer and then when we went to start the car again it ran normally. this has subsequently happened a 3rd time where the car would not respond to the accelerator and i had to pull over to the shoulder and re-start the car. unfortunately there are no error codes showing when we took it to the dealership on both occasions so they are unable to diagnose the issue."
