2015 Mazda Mazda6 4 DR FWD Safety Features

Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2015 Mazda Mazda6 4 DR FWD

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. It achieves this by automatically applying brakes to specific wheels to stabilize the vehicle.

Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

No
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Complaint:
"hand operated parking brake safety recall. i received a recall notice from mazda stating that there is a defect in the brake caliper of mazda6 vehicles produced from october 25, 2012 through december 1, 2014. my vehicle falls into this recall category. i received the recall notice from mazda on august 19, 2017 making me aware of the issue and stating that replacement parts are not yet available to correct this safety issue. i called mazda usa on november 2 to get an update and they still don't have an eta for the parts. the recall notice states that the defect could result in unexpected movement of the vehicle if parked on a slope, increasing the risk of a collision. i have asked mazda to take the vehicle back and reimburse me. the representative made a note of this, gave me a case number and left it up to me to figure out how to resolve the issue. i'm concerned that the vehicle in its present state is at risk of causing physical harm and property damage to the surrounding area it may be parked in, especially places like san francisco, where high grade slopes are pretty common. since this is a defect to the brake caliper i can only assume that the problem has existed ever since i purchased the vehicle."

Complaint:
"after making a left turn i depressed the brakes to stop for a red traffic signal. the brake pedal was excessively hard to operate and failed to stop the car. to avoid an accident, i had to use the parking break. at the same time the engine rpm increased dramatically. i shifted the transmission to neutral which brought the rpm to normal velocity. after this incident the car performed normally. i have experienced this problem three times, the last time was on april 4,2016. i noticed the failure occurs at slow speed, around 15 to 25 miles/hour. i went twice to berge mazda in mesa,az. unfortunately they were unable to duplicate the break failure during test. this predicament is still unresolved and could be the cause of a deadly accident. some help in this matter would be appreciated."
