"i bought my 2019 nissan altima platinum brand new. since then i have had to replace all of the door lock actuators a minimum of 2 times, i say 2 times because only one has been replaced twice. all of the others have been replaced at least 3 times and the driver and driver side passenger side are ready for the 4th replacement. this presents a safety as well as security issue."

"since i purchased this car during warranty 2 of the door locks quit working and was replaced under warranty but since the warranty has ran out the other 2 door locks quit working. so if i lock my door it will not unlock so i have to crawl in a door that will lock. the other option is not lock my doors so everything can be stolen out of my car or i could be robbed since they could open my door at any parking lot or redlight."

"my key does not unlock or lock my passenger or rear doors. so far it only unlocks the driver door. i have to get in and unlock the doors manually. the key fab works but the door sensors do not respond. i looked it up and this has been a common problem reported for the 2019 nissan altima along with other electrical problems. i’ve had to replace the battery twice. this is a 2019 vehicle which i purchased in 2020. had to replace the battery in 2021 and in 2023. the most pressing issue right now is the door locks. this is an expensive repair. there should be a recall issued so that nissan can repair the door sensors."

"all door lock actuators. this is available for inspection. the safety of myself and passengers is at risk due to not being able to unlock and lock my vehicle at any given time. this is a security risk for any occupants in the event of needing to quickly lock doors or unlock in the event of an emergency. this also puts my vehicle at risk of theft and being stolen. the door actuators will not activate from the remote key or the unlock/lock buttons inside the vehicle. yes, i had jim johnson nissan (bowling green, ky) look at the problem and they confirmed and quoted me for this. no, it has not been inspected by the manufacturer. there was no warning to the problem. the first door actuator failed at around 50,000 miles (2021) and progressed to all door actuators failing. this problem is reoccurring in this model of the nissan altima"

"the contact owns a 2019 nissan altima. the contact stated that the vehicle intermittently failed to start. additionally, the battery drained quickly, causing the windows and doors to fail to open. the contact had to recharge the battery every day to prevent the failure. the vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. the contact related the failure to a faulty electrical system. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was opened. the failure mileage was approximately 21,000."

"the radio and hvac systems failed; going down mn i-35 west south bound at 70mph the radio abruptly changed stations and went to full blast. it continued to randomly change between stations at full blast. i was unable to adjust the volume via the steering wheel controls or radio controls. i was also unable to shutoff the radio. the changes were sudden, shocking, and they caused me to hit the breaks and jerk into another lane. the issue continues randomly and happens on freeways, highways, city streets and at stoplights. there is no common trend to when it happens or what the vehicle is doing at the time. controls become unresponsive to address it until the vehicle is shutoff. the vehicle has been brought in several times to walzer nissan group in mn that have reviewed video footage of the radio doing this. they have validated the issue and are unable to repair it."

(nissan) is recalling certain 2019 altima vehicles equipped with front wheel drive (fwd) and 2.5 liter engines. the fuel pump lock ring may not be fully engaged, possibly causing fuel to leak. as such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 301, "fuel system integrity.""
Consequence:
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy:

Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel tank assembly. If the lock ring is disengaged, dealers will tighten the ring to specification. If the lock ring is detached, dealers will replace the fuel pump. Both remedies will be completed free of charge. The recall began May 15, 2019. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669.

Recall:
"nissan north america, inc (nissan) is recalling certain 2019 altima vehicles. the retainer clip connecting the low pressure fuel tube to the high pressure fuel pump may not have been locked into position."
Consequence:
If the retainer clip is unlocked, the fuel tube may shift and cause a fuel leak, increasing the risk of a fire. If the fuel tube fully disconnects, the engine can stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy:

Nissan has notified owners, and dealers will route the fuel hose into the holding clip and lock the retainer clip into place, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 11, 2019. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669.
