"the 2021 sienna xle plus and entertainment package did not include a digital rear view mirror in this trim level. the new sienna is a brand new model with a massive design flaw, a huge tv with zero visibility out the rear of car. it's unsafe. many people will not test drive with the tv down to see the safety issue. we didn't realize it till kids put the tv down day later. seems to have sadly made it through quality control process at toyota. you can not see cars right up on you at stop signs, cars approaching etc it needs a safety recall and a modification.we have had car for 3 weeks."

"i found a big design flaw in our new minivan. when my kids are using the rear entertainment system, the screen block the driver rear mirror line of sight. i don't feel safe driving around if i can't have back and forth visibility from the driver seat. i don't understand why toyota didn't make the digital rearview mirror standard in all the trims equipped with rear entertainment system. the lack of rear visibility from the driver can put at risk the life of all the passengers. i tried contact the dealer and toyota directly but i'm not getting a resolution. this is a serious design flaw! toyota should issue a recall for all the minivans with rear entertainment system and no digital rearview mirror."

"toyota motor engineering & manufacturing (toyota) is recalling certain 2020-2021 avalon, avalon hybrid, corolla, highlander, highlander hybrid, rav4, rav4 hybrid, lexus es350, lexus rx350, lexus rx450h, 2021 sienna hybrid, lexus es250, 2020-2022 camry, camry hybrid, and es300h vehicles. a short circuit may develop in the occupant classification system (ocs) sensor, preventing the front passenger air bag from deploying."
Consequence:
An air bag that does not deploy during a crash increases the risk of injury.
Remedy:

Dealers will inspect and replace the sensor as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 4, 2024. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 23TB15/23TA15 Lexus 23LB03/23LA03.
