2005 Bmw X5 - Ratings, Complaints and Recalls

The 2005 BMW X5 has not been rated for overall safety by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. However, it received impressive ratings of 5 stars for both the front crash driver side and front crash passenger side categories. The driver side in the side crash received a rating of 4 stars, while the passenger side received 5 stars. This suggests that the BMW X5 provides excellent protection for both front and side crashes. Additionally, the vehicle comes standard with electronic stability control, enhancing its handling and safety on the road.

Unfortunately, the BMW X5 does not come equipped with forward collision warning or lane departure warning systems. These advanced safety features could have further enhanced the vehicle's safety credentials. On the downside, the car has a significant number of complaints, totaling 102, as well as a relatively high number of recalls, with 7 reported so far. It is also under investigation in 2 cases. These factors suggest that while the BMW X5 may excel in crash safety, its reliability and overall quality might be a concern for potential buyers.
