2017 Chevrolet Impala 4 DR FWD Safety Features

Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2017 Chevrolet Impala 4 DR FWD

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. By continuously monitoring various factors such as steering angle, vehicle speed, and individual wheel speeds, ESC can detect and reduce the risk of skidding or loss of control. It achieves this by automatically applying brakes to specific wheels to stabilize the vehicle.

Standard
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

Optional
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Utilizing cameras or sensors to monitor lane markings on the road, LDW detects when the vehicle crosses these lines and triggers visual, auditory, or haptic alerts to notify the driver of potential lane departure.

"evaporator core failed. my safety isn't at risk although i get very hot riding in the car without ac. it was confirmed by a dealer. it has not been inspected by police or anyone else other than a dealer. no warning lamps or messages. my 2017 chevrolet impala has been without air conditioning since approximately june 2020. i took it to a local chevrolet dealer and they diagnosed it stating the evaporator core had failed. after doing research online, i found a special coverage adjustment n182186881 on nhtsa.gov stating that on some 2016-2018 model-year cars, the evaporator core may become damaged and the customer is eligible for it to be replaced at no charge. i never received this paper in the mail saying mine was affected but mine was affected. due to me having no copy of this, no dealer will fix it free of charge. i am not just looking for a free repair, i am looking for it to be repaired for free specifically due to the fact it has been affected. there is less than 72,000 miles on my vehicle."
