Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2015 Ford F-150 Supercab PU/EC 4x2

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. By continuously monitoring various factors such as steering angle, vehicle speed, and individual wheel speeds, ESC can detect and reduce the risk of skidding or loss of control. It achieves this by automatically applying brakes to specific wheels to stabilize the vehicle.

Standard
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

Optional
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Utilizing cameras or sensors to monitor lane markings on the road, LDW detects when the vehicle crosses these lines and triggers visual, auditory, or haptic alerts to notify the driver of potential lane departure.

"the brakes failed while i was driving down the road. the brake pedal went all the way to the floor. i had to use the emergency brake to get to a safe location. i see many f150 owners have reported a similar problem, and there have been recalls for model years just before and after mine. why wasn't the 2015 also recalled? it seems to be experiencing the same issue."

Complaint:
"i was towing my rv trailer behind my f150. when i backed into my campsite, i was about to pull the trailer onto wood blocks for leveling, when it felt like i had hit a curb or something solid when i tried to move ahead or back. my wife watched the wheels on the trailer and noticed they were all locked up (she took video). the suspension on the trailer flexed when i tried to gently go ahead or back. i unhooked the trailer harness from the truck and i could then move the trailer. when i got back into the truck after unhooking the harness, i noticed a strong burnt electronics smell in the cab of the truck. the odor lasted only a short time, but was very evident. the next morning upon the advice of an automotive electronics repair shop, i got a meter and checked the brake signal coming out of the back of the truck bumper connector. the brake signal was full "on". when i pulled the trailer brake fuse in the engine compartment, this disabled the signal to the truck harness. the brake signal at the back of the truck was now off. i also noticed at every key on after i unhooked the trailer harness and removed the fuse, that i go a "trailer brake module fault" warning on the f150 dash. it could be acknowledged and would go out for the current key on cycle. i have to acknowledge the fault each key on cycle now. the brake controller is the original ford factory installed system. there are no modifications to the f150 wiring or controls. due to a shortage of ford dealership mechanics, i am awaiting a time for a ford dealer to look at the problem. i am thankful that the fault occurred at 0 mph. if those brakes on the trailer had locked up at 55 or more mph, the results could have been disastrous for me. i have a photo of the trailer brake module fault warning."

Complaint:
"on sunday, september 4th 2022 around 8:30pm , i was returning from a camping trip with my girlfriend. we were about 20 minutes away from home. we had the bed of the truck packed with our camping materials. suddenly the low break fluid began to chime and warn us that it's low. i was driving my truck at the time. i was driving on the freeway going i-5 south. i was not aware of my safety being compromised by this warning my truck issued. as i was approaching a vehicle in front of me, i began to make the effort to slow my truck down so i would not get to close to the vehicle in front. as soon as i attempted to slow down, my brakes did not function as they properly should. because my brakes did not function properly, this caused me to fully engage my breaks by pushing the break in as far as the truck allowed me to. although i was fully engaging my breaks to reduce my speed, it was not enough to avoid a collision. i then had to engage the emergency breaks to slow down my speed. the break malfunction caused me to panic and fear for our safety. this incident almost caused me to collide & rear end the vehicle that was in front of me. i then decided to continue driving at a speed of 55mph with my hazard lights to get my girlfriend and i home safely. i have done research on what may be the cause of my break malfunction. i found ford issued a recall, number 20s31. their description of the recall explained exactly what happened to me. i'm unsure why my vin number does not fall under their recall category. i believe their problem is larger than they anticipated. someone who is unaware of this could definitely cause a life threatening situation to themselves and others. i personally do not feel 100% driving my truck at this time. i will be taking my truck to my local ford dealership to get my truck back on the road. please look further into this safety issue further & assure ford is taking proper measures for their customers safety."

"on 8/11/2022, i experience brake failure. upon exiting a parking deck, the brake pedal went all the way to the floor of the vehicle. there was no pressure in the brake system. each time i depressed the brake, the pedal went all the way to the floor. fortunately, i was able to pump the brake enough to stop the vehicle. i proceeded very slowly and was able to drive to the nearest service facility. upon inspection by kedron tire and automotive (peachtree city, ga) i was told that the brake hose on the passenger side had ruptured. they said that they had not seen this before in a late model vehicle such as mine. i had them replace both hoses, the one on the passenger and driver side. there were no warning lights or messages."
