2007 Ford F-150 - Ratings, Complaints and Recalls

The 2007 Ford F-150 Supercrew 4-DR has a 4-star rollover rating, indicating a moderate level of rollover risk. The car does not have an overall safety rating available, and specific crash ratings are not provided for the front and side crashes. However, the front crash driver and passenger side ratings are both 5 stars, suggesting good protection in frontal collisions.

This Ford F-150 model offers optional electronic stability control, which can help drivers maintain control of the vehicle during challenging road conditions. It does not have forward collision warning or lane departure warning systems, which are features that can alert drivers to potential hazards and improve overall safety.

The car has a relatively high number of complaints, with 479 reported, and has been subject to 7 recalls. While the rollover rating is decent, the lack of overall safety ratings and high number of complaints and recalls indicate that the safety of this particular model may not be as robust as desired. It is recommended for drivers to stay informed about any potential safety issues and to address recalls promptly to ensure the safest driving experience.

Safety Features

2007 Ford F-150 Supercrew 4-DR. Safety Features

Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2007 Ford F-150 Supercrew 4-DR.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. By continuously monitoring various factors such as steering angle, vehicle speed, and individual wheel speeds, ESC can detect and reduce the risk of skidding or loss of control. It achieves this by automatically applying brakes to specific wheels to stabilize the vehicle.

Optional
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

No
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Utilizing cameras or sensors to monitor lane markings on the road, LDW detects when the vehicle crosses these lines and triggers visual, auditory, or haptic alerts to notify the driver of potential lane departure.
