2015 Ford FIESTA - Ratings, Complaints and Recalls

The 2015 Ford Fiesta has an overall safety rating of 4 out of 5, which indicates above-average safety features. It scored well in front crash tests, with a rating of 4 for the driver side and 5 for the passenger side. However, its overall side crash rating is lower at 2. Despite this, the Fiesta excels in combined side barrier and pole crash tests, receiving a 5 for the front and a 2 for the rear.

In terms of safety features, the Fiesta comes equipped with standard electronic stability control, which helps improve vehicle stability in challenging road conditions. However, it lacks both forward collision warning and lane departure warning systems, which are advanced safety technologies that could potentially enhance driver safety.

On the downside, there have been 218 complaints reported for the 2015 Ford Fiesta, which is a relatively high number. Additionally, there have been 4 recalls issued for this model, indicating potential safety issues that have required manufacturer intervention.

In conclusion, while the 2015 Ford Fiesta has some strong safety attributes, such as stability control and good front crash ratings, its lower side crash rating, absence of collision warning and lane departure warning, along with a significant number of complaints and recalls, suggest that there may be areas for improvement in terms of overall safety.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

No
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling.
