2015 Nissan Pathfinder SUV FWD Safety Features

Here are the safety features that come as standard on the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder SUV FWD

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

ESC is an advanced safety feature in vehicles designed to help drivers maintain control during challenging driving conditions. By continuously monitoring various factors such as steering angle, vehicle speed, and individual wheel speeds, ESC can detect and reduce the risk of skidding or loss of control. It achieves this by automatically applying brakes to specific wheels to stabilize the vehicle.

Standard
Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) is a safety feature in vehicles that helps prevent frontal collisions by alerting the driver of an imminent collision with a vehicle or obstacle ahead. Using sensors such as radar or cameras, FCW monitors the distance and speed of vehicles in front, and if it detects a potential collision, it provides visual and/or auditory warnings to prompt the driver to take evasive action.

No
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a safety feature in vehicles that alerts drivers when their vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling. Complaint:
"the rear hatch door goes up when the lift button is pushed on the tailgate door, it reaches the top, beeps, then immediately comes back down. the hatch door hit my wife on the head. if you push up hard against the tailgate when it starts to immediately come down it is possible to keep it up. but someone not strong enough can be seriously injured by the door. it’s the same situation every time we lift the hatch to open—up, beep, and back down it immediately comes we talked to dealer. they said contact nissan consumer affairs. so we did. they said our vehicle is out of warranty: nothing we can do. go back to dealer and pay to have it fixed. not helpful at all. this isn’t a lightbulb burnt out or physical wear issue— it’s a safety issue and the manufacturer should do a recall and fix it asap."

Complaint:
"i bought my 2015 pathfinder new in 2016. love the vehicle but i am disappointed in how quickly it started to "fall apart". i had a altima with over 200 000 miles without a single part breaking on it. i bought my pathfinder based on the premise that all nissan products are as good as my altima. i have only 52000 miles on my pathfinder now and i have a defective cooling fan making a terrible noise. there is no support for my pathfinder any longer from nissan and the cost of replacing the fan is well over $1400. i expected more from nissan and my new vehicle for next year will be based on my experience with nissan. i am not sure i will be driving a nissan next year. nissan is cheeping out on product that they use for their vehicles now, it's too bad, they used to have very well built products."
