"the contact's boyfriend owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. the contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle began to jerk and hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal. the contact stated that after a while, the vehicle would shut off while driving at various speeds, with the check engine warning light illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and the camshaft and transmission were replaced. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer on several occasions because the failure persisted. the contact was later informed that there was water damage throughout the vehicle and the contact was informed that the vehicle should have never been sold. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic where it remained unrepaired. the failure mileage was approximately 63,000."

"while driving the vehicle on 27 september 2023 the check engine/transmission light came on, and the vehicle down shifted and loss the ability to accelerate, started to drive rough causing a safety hazard in traffic. took the vehicle to the dealership southern (formerly hall) chevrolet chesapeake, va where purchased because i have an extended warranty. diagnostic was performed, which idendified codes p0776, p0717, p0700. technician states vehicle is not driveable and needs a new transmission. the vehicle is a 2019 siverado 1500 ltz z71 crew cab with approximately 90,290+ miles."

"transmission started slipping and shuddering on vehicle with only 72,000 miles. took to the dealer and they diagnosed the transmission fluid and torque converter needed to be replaced. the vehicle experienced harsh shifting since new and is a safety issue due to delayed speed, slipping, and hard shifts. there is a class action lawsuit for this 8 speed transmission and gm refuses to fix it. i paid $3,000 out of pocket to have this fixed even though it’s a known. issue."

"the contact owns a 2019 chevrolet silverado 1500. the contact stated while the vehicle was shifted into park(p), the transmission erroneously jumped into reverse(r). additionally, while driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle shimmied. the vehicle also unintendedly downshifted. the vehicle failed to accelerate at above 40 mph. there were no warning lights illuminated. the vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the torque convertor and drive shaft needed to be replaced. the drive shaft was replaced but the failure recurred. the vehicle was taken to another local dealer, balise chevrolet buick gmc (440 hall of fame ave, springfield, ma 01105 (413) 233-4668) where it was diagnosed and determined that the tires needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the local dealer and informed provided warranty information. the failure mileage was approximately 35,000."
